For many years, if you want to applyAccess to scholarship, you had to plan well because the deadline expired in mid-September of the year before the desired exam, for example. September 15, 2020 was the deadline for all 2021 CFA exams.

However, the CFA Institute seems to want to change that. In the current CFAI. There will be one year of the Access Scholarship Program beginning September 1, 2022 and ending August 31, 20232 application windowsThese will be quite short, but they will be closer to your CFA exam, making it easier for you to schedule your CFA exam. If you receive the Access Scholarship, you will have approximately 7 months to use it for any of the available CFA exams (however, please note the deadline and exact expiry date provided by the CFA Institute in the scholarship award email! ).

The first Access Scholarship application window for the 2023 CFA exams will open on September 20, 2022 and will close on October 18, 2022 at midnight ETSecond application window starts January 17, 2023 and ends February 14, 2023. The early registration fee for the 2023 CFA exams increases to $900 (from $700). The standard registration fee is also up to $1,200 (instead of $1,000).

Observe thatBeginning in 2023, new CFA program participants will be required to pay a one-time program application fee of $350. The fee is the same regardless of the CFA exam registration deadline you choose.

ORegistering for the CFA exam is a two-step process: First you register for the exam and pay the registration fee, then you have toSchedule the exam day within your chosen exam window. Appointments are made in order of arrival.

You can also reschedule your CFA exam before the rescheduling deadline by paying the $250 rescheduling fee (for each rescheduling!). The redial option allows you to do thisChange your exam day or test centerPosition within your exam window. Change is possible depending on seat availability. If there is no space available at a certain time, you should regularly check for seat availability. but consider thisfor 2023 exams each actual rebooking costs $250. Also, be sure to familiarize yourself with the information provided by testing centers (options may vary from center to center, for example, the length of the testing window may vary).

Phase 3 CFA Exam Window for Candidates August 2023

As of 2021 for all CFA examscomputer aided testing. Exams consist of two sessions with an optional break in between. Each exam session lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.

For the LEVEL 1 CFA exam, you can expect 90 multiple-choice questions per session. This makes a total of 180 questions. You will have1.5 minutes per questionto the media.

For the LEVEL 2 CFA exam, you can expect 44 multiple-choice questions per session, organized into 11 sets of items (each topped by a vignette, followed by 4 multiple-choice questions). That's a total of 88 questions (22 item sets). You will haveapprox. 3 minutes per questionto the media.

For the LEVEL 3 CFA exam, you can expect open-ended questions (constructed answers) and item sets (as in Level 2). In total there will be 11 constructed response sets (essay) with a variable number of items/questions to be answered and 44 multiple choice questions organized into 11 item sets of 4 questions each. In both sessions you will be asked a mix of essay questions and item sets (examples in the table below). For essay sets and items, the total number of points that can be achieved is given (for each item set it isapprox. 3 minutes per questionon average, writing time may vary).
